my 2000 xlt 4.6 started acting funny.seems to be flooding.the overdrive button is flashing.changed theshift solenoid still the same.put back on the computer it shows the codes 1747,750,756 these are the shift solenoid.plus1451,0443.are these an indication of wire chafing.
443 and 1451 are EVAP codes.
If the harnness has all the leads for the trans and EVAP, there could be a ground, open or cross issue.
The harrness comes down the passenger side rear of the motor back to the trans and near hot exhaust.
It has the trans solenoid valve control leads, OX sensors and may have other control leads.
I'm not suprised you have transmission indications.
The 750 code is shift solenoid A, the 756 is the B, the 1747 is the main pressure control solenoid EPC.
When you have mutiple codes like that, suspect the harnnes first or the fuse that feeds all of them in common..
All the solenoids usually don't go bad at the same time.
The PCM monitors all the solenoids for voltage and current 'signeture' operation.
This is how the codes are set when the 'expected operating result' does not match the program value.

thanks for the info.we suspect the harness.changed the shift solenoids,didnt make adifference.what fuse are you talking about ?is it a relay or a regular fuse.
Fuse 29 ( 5 amp ) and ground by battery on fender. There may also be a ground on radiator support. Look into the fuse holder for damage also, water a posibility for corrosion also. Blown diode?

pull the fuse and look to the internal fuse block fuse recepticles for damage/corrosion so the fuse doesn't make good connection. Straighten the damaged parts. It is common to find this type of problem. If nothing remove the fuse box from its holder and check the back of it and the GEM plugged into it for damage.
When your done, slide out the pcm, check the cover for corrosion burning etc. Check the circuit board for obvious burnt components. The trans components are enacted thru grounding back to the PCM.
