What is the difference in IPR's?

What is the difference in these two ipr's?
3c3z-9c968-aa
5c3z-0c068-ca

I thought I had a late build 04 with icp in the valve cover, which is where it is at. Which I thought would take the 5c3z ipr, but when i called dealer to get prices they told me my vin pulled up the 3c3z ipr. Can someone help me out here?

the newer is more coarse less like to plug

My 04' F-350 ate up an IPR recently. I have a late 03' build engine with the ICP on the valve cover. I replaced my IPR with the (3C3Z-9C968-AA) and all is well now. My truck actually had the International part (1839437C95) IPR installed, but I don't think there are any differences there. I ordered mine from Performance Machine MFG for around $200. I later found that RockAuto sells it for around $165. If you do a little searching you should be able to find a coupon code for RockAuto for an additional 5 to 10% off.

Just remember^^^^^^^^^^^^

Definatly post the results on how you make out as I would like to use the 5c3z newer one to when the time comes

From what I took out of it was like the injectors diffrent ones for diffrent years Physicaly look the same (minus the plastic color and wire color) but the Newer one has better GUTS Ford does NOT recomend the newer injector for the older truck but Folks run the newer inject in the older trucks all the time and it works fine

I've been running the later production IPR valve in my truck for a year now with no ill effects. Early 04 engine w/ ICP in the valve cover.

Well I put the new IPR in with no luck getting her to fire up. I am getting good reading from the IPR which I think is good news. I was getting a max of 77% with old valve and 84% with new. But now I got to figure out what else is the problem. About to start a new post for that.

What it your ICP reading while trying to crank.
It should be above 500 PSI.
If its not then its not going to fire up.
