steering wheel hiss

Does anyone have a fix for the faint hiss noise,(fluid transfer noise that travels up the steer column) that is only heard in the cabin , sounds like a shhhh noise that is very faint when you turn the steering wheel slightly left or right and sounds like it is right behind the horn cover?
2000 f150 5.4
some research says this is normal?
Changed the pump, high pressure, return, cleaned res, fluid change (merc v)
Seems to be only present after driving for a while( hot fluid)
Steering gear valve fluid noise excessive?
New ball joints upper and lower recently, but Ive had this noise for years trying now to tackle it
No noise with front end up in the air turning engine on or off
