Steering Noise
I have a 2005 f250xl with about 20,000 miles. I hear a "swoosging" noise when I turn the steering wheel at slow speed like in a parking lot. May sound a bit like fluid flowing under pressure, but don't see any problems. No leaks, etc. Any advice????? John

It is hard to explain. Th noise si=ounds like a cross between a squeek and oil rushing thru an orifice. I am fairly sure it is not a squeek. Only hear it when turning the steering wheel large amounts like turning a a parking lot at low speeds. Happens turning left and right. It's driving nuts. John

There's a TSB about steering noise in the 05 model.....need to replace the pulley or something. I had the noise when mine was new, it's gone away now, (18000 Miles) It sounded like it was coming from the steering column.
