Vacuum Hose Issues

I have a 2004 ford escape that seems to have a major issue with a vacuum hose. Last May when it started to get hot and humid and i would turn the air in the car on, it would start running really bad. I would start the car and it wouldn't idle, have lack of power, the stearing would be super tight and sometimes would stall when i would turn the wheel. Found out ita the vacuum hose that's connect from the engine to the throttle body. Well the hose had to be replaced 3 times in that month. Well the same thing is happening this year. I am actually going to go to ford and get their vacuum hose instead of getting a crappy hose and having to keep replacing it. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this iasue in their escape as well?! It's rather annoying!

V6? How many miles are on the car? What hose exactly is it?
And what exactly has happened to it that it had to be replaced 3 times? Something must be amiss.

Is the PCV valve due for replacement? Have you checked that hose?

I don't know what the problem is but more info might be of use.
