I'm pushing over 40K on my XRF's in my F250 with no trouble at all. I have over 20K on the XRF's in my Excursion with no trouble there either.

At the same time, I barely got 15 months out of the upper Moog unit installed by my tire shop... they honored the parts but I had to do the install.

Where's the best place to get the XRF ball joints? And are they the same for the early 99.

Stock BJ's on my dually (4wd) went 180k. 1rst Moogs went 100k and 2nd set was free, which now have ~70k miles on them now.

Probably 60k on the Moogs in the X now and they're as tight as new. Since replacements will be free, I'm sure I'll run them again. Lucky for them, most people don't keep their junk as long as me.

Not saying I wouldn't buy the XRF's - but I consider the service life of the moogs acceptable.

I'm interested to see how the XRF's hold up for y'all, thanks for posting!

I am too Jason. Like I said earlier, always been a "MOOG" man myself. I just heard so many good things about the XRF's. I still have the MOOG's on my D50 and they were fine, don't remember how many miles were on them though, probably around 50-60k.

Thanks Jeff, I saved that site. Did you do the tie rod and drag links and sleeves too? I'm pushing 160K right now on my F350, tires look good but I'm starting to feel strange things so I'm going to have to take a close look.

I did not, and probly never will. I have all MOOG parts up there and they carry a lifetime warranty. I bought all that from Kragen years ago and it's very convenient to go down the street if I need to use that warranty.( I have twice)

Chet, I'm over 345k miles on OE tie rods, etc. in the dually. Prolly 50% of those are towing and the rest are well over 9k lbs gross weight. (this turd ain't light!)

I've always purchased my XRF parts directly from XRF.

I just wanted to revisit this tread and see if there is any more feed back on the XRF parts? I like many of you guys I have been a Moog guy for many years with good luck. But the price on Moog ball joints and tie rod ends has really gone though the roof. And it seem that XRF is a good alternative.

I have a set of XRF ball joints for our '93 E150. I've installed ball joints before but not greaseable ball joints. I read a half dozen write-ups on this site, even ones with a specific step of installing grease fittings, but none specifically say to grease the ball joints. Do they come greased or should they be greased once installed?

Thanks,
Sixto
