Transmission Dipstick
Transmission Dipstick
The head of my transmission dipstick is gone! I still have the stick but it is broken off just above the 'pinches'. Trying to locate a replacement has proven fruitless. Local dealers can't get it and the boneyards won't part them from sellable trannys they have, reasoning if they pull the stick the trannys will fill with water.
Anyone have a source for one of these? The truck is a 96 F250 4x4, 5.8L with a E4OD tranny. Thanks!

Thanks guys! I don't know how you found that link 'cause I've been looking and came up empty every time. It's fifty bucks delivered and I'll do it if I have to, but I think I'll wait until I get a chance to hit the pick and pull lot--it's about 90 minutes each way tho!

Did you try a Ford dealer? I ordered an engine oil dipstick for a 1990 F-150 less than a year ago.
