Need Trans Help

My trans starts shifting really hard and won't go into 4th gear once the trans temp reaches 140 degress. Do I need to do a trans flush or do I have an internal problem. I have a 99 f2507.3l.

You need to get the codes read before I can tell anything. Don't go to an auto parts store that reads codes free, they don't have the right tools to read Ford transmission codes. You need a good independent shop or a Ford dealer.

Took my truck to Ford today. They told I had no codes and to just change the fluid. Well on my way home I realized I also had no overdrive.

Without codes it's really hard to tell where to start.

If it won't shift to overdrive it will set a code. If there was no codes then it could be a bad PCM. It could also be a problem inside the transmission, or a wiring problem, or a solenoid problem. Any of those should set a code, though.

P0708 is an electrical fault in the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS.) It could be the sensor or the wiring to the sensor. I would fix this problem before looking at the P0781 1-2 shift error.

Just had the truck in the garage there are wires at the PCM that have cuts in them. I think I might have found my problem.

I think you blew a fuse that powers the transmission.
