connecting rods

Hi,

Just doing some preliminary work, while waiting on information from Tim Meyer.

If I wanted to reuse my connecting rods, how would I go about removing the retaining lock?

Would it be better to reuse the original connecting rods or just buy new ones?

Thanks,

stock rods are ok, install arp bolts on it. Piston to connecting rod is press fit.

I understand it is a pressed fit. How do I remove the piston from the connecting rod?

personaly i brought them to the machine shop. They have a rod oven to make the small end bigger then they press it. One of my freind install 8 pistons with a small press and install the 8 pins back on new 8 pistons without heat. I know he use wood in an angle to not damage the pistons. the shop down here charge 12.50$ each piston.(100$)
