I'm looking to purchase replacement springs for my truck 2002 Ex 7.3 4x4.
Instead of running all over Maryland trying to find a used set, I'd like to buy new. Shipping adds at least $100 to the price. So if anyone knows of a dealer in the DC metro area thats reasonable or will do wholesale please let me know.
I found a set of low mileage V's in maryland via craigslist. Tried for months to find B's on ebay and CL but it didn't happen. I went with a ProComp add-a-leaf kit for the rear ($100.99 shipped on amazon). I kinda wish I went with X-codes for the front but whatever. If you're deadset to the V/B setup, good luck. I just thought i'd give you some options.
The quote is at work and I don't remember the name of the dealer. If you'd like to recommend someone I'm listening.
Thanks for the input and suggestions. The stealership that's closest to my house is useless. It's truly funny, some dealers want the complete VIN while others want the last 8 digits of the VIN.
If I'm not mistaken, I spoke to them yesterday. I think they had one front spring in stock. The sales guy was able to calculate shipping on the front springs but not on the rear. As previously stated, shipping would have been around $100.00.
When I'm free, I will double check with them today. Springs are heavy and I live in Md.
I'm not lifting the truck to add larger tires. I'm lifting it to get it off of the bump stop and to improve the driving characteristics of the truck if that makes sense.
I'm really hoping my local dealer could match Tousley's price because shipping from there to Ca was estimated at $200 something.
Lovestrucks,
Let me know what you decide as I have a friend who has a set of front - I believe V-code springs, I'll have to double check - from his F250 that he removed with about 2k miles on them. He pretty much lifted his truck when he got it.
I am not sure what shipping would be from Northern Cal to Southern Ca.

If you want some that are already broken in you can pick mine up for not much more than what it would cost to get those ones shipped to you. I sent you a PM. If youre dead set on new ones, well, they will only be new for a few thousand miles. Might as well skip the depreciation. Trained in the art of suspending an excursion. Experienced at bounding over potholes and railroad tracks. Hire a veteran! lol

Thanks I got the pm, if you don't mind just checking on what your friend has that'd be great... Possibly if you could find out the shipping weight of the springs as well. I have a connection to a UPS business account and I can check the discounted rates to see what the approximate shipping would be and if it'd be worth it that way or the other.
