I've purchased Springs fron Tousely Ford in the past but that was for a 2003 Excursion. I have found the numbers that Stewart_H provided I believe for a 2001.

Front V code springs: Part #2C3Z-5310-HA
Rear B code springs: Part #3C3Z-5560-CB
Left side 3.5" tapered block: Part #F81Z-5598-FA
Right side 3.5" tapered block Part #F81Z-5598-GA

...and the Bilstein part numbers if you use the above springs:
Front: BE5-2818 (OEM length for the F250 4x4)
Rear: BE5-6209 (OEM length for the Excursion 4x4)

Do these part numbers apply to a 2005 6.0 Ex?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes the Ford parts would be the same for a 2005 X 4x4. I am not familiar with the bilsteins but I believe those are the correct ones. Someone will chime in about the shocks.

Thanks, that's what I thought but want to be sure. Anyone that knows about the Bilsteins for sure let me know.

Tousely Ford wants $129 each for the V's and $212 each for the B's. Waiting on a shipping quote. The last time I ordered the V's I think the freight was $35 or so for the set. I'm in Illinois, so fairly close. Does the price for the springs sound about right? Puts me at about $685 before shipping. I don't have time to try to track down used springs. If anyone has a cheaper source in the midwest, let me know although I would prefer to go with Tousley as they are a site sponsor I believe.
Thanks again!
Steve

If anyone's interested I live less than an hour from Tousley Ford; in fact I've purchased two vehicles from them in the last three years. As such I pick up parts directly from them and don't pay shipping.

Anyway, I'm moving from my current location to Hartford, CT in the next month or so. If anybody lives along that route and would like to meet me off the highway I'd be happy to move your springs for you. Free beats paying shipping, and I'm headed that way anyway!

I am curious about this too. How much do new Bs lift the rear on an Ex? There is a salvage yard in my area that has several sets of used Bs and I am thinking about those but dont know if they will add much in the rear if they are used. If I add used Bs and no blocks, will I get any lift?

If you want to keep the stance close to the same you should use blocks or use the modified B codes.

My parts that were recently installed:

I don't know if anybody is still responding to this thread but I definitely need to do some work on my front suspension. I have an 01 Excursion with the 7.3 in it and I believe at least my front springs are shot. If I go over a speed bump, the front end bottoms out on the stops and makes a very disheartening sound. Here are some mods I have added over the last couple of years: air bags in rear, rear anti-sway bar, and Bilstein shocks all around. I am debating whether to go with the B codes for the rear or just go with the tapered blocks in the rear to match the front V code upgrade (I'm not sure this would even work). The rear springs seem to be fine and with the air bags and sway bar seem to handle the weight adequately. We do tow several times a year a 7,000 lb. (loaded) travel trailer.

Eric H-- where did you get the prices on the parts you ordered as they seem to be pretty reasonable.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I too need to do my front suspension. I'd like to only do the front if possible but don't want it to sit oddly.

Is it possible to use the stock shocks with the v codes in the front? The ones on my X are only about a year old according to the dealers service records.

They are both springs from an F250/F350. The V-codes are for the front and the B-codes are for the rear.

They are a direct bolt on for the Excursion.
