need help

Hey guys im having huge problems with my 1996 f350. it ran amazing the first 9 months i had it and now it is having issues. first it would cut out every now an then then eventually die and not start back up. let it sit for couple minutes to hours and it would start up with no problem. i replaced the cam pos sensor hoping starting small would work. it now starts and idles fine and doesnt die but when i get on it a little or get up to around 1700 rpm to 1900 rpm it cuts out an i slow down. i also replaced the fuel filter. i have to drive it to work every day slowly but it always starts and goes until i get the rpms up. thanks

Fuel pressure should be above 45-50 at idle.

Sounds like fuel to me though.
I doubt its an oil issue, make sure its at the correct height though. If the HPOP gets starved when the RPM's goes up, you'll sputter.

Fuel pump weep hole? you really need to check those pressures. our trucks are getting to be quite old so it is possible you got some hoses going. you mentioned that you changed the fuel filter, did you also clean the FPR screen? they can make it run like crap. what did the bottom of the filter can look like? mine had all kinds of garbage in it I had to remove it and clean it out. they can rot out the bottoms if you dont take care of them.

That's what I was thinking too.

And where did you get your CPS from. We've seen too many problems with the aftermarket ones from the local parts house. Better to stick with Ford or International for the CPS.

i was thinkin new cps wasnt good cause it changed how it ran but still didnt fix my problem. i checked hoses and they were dry but will look more into it. the bottom of my filter bowl was a mess. filter and bowl was loaded with dust of some sort. cleaned it out but didnt check fpr screen. will do that. but just about an hour ago i was lookin at it and remember i had disconnected the clip under the turbo because for a while my truck would make a swoosh noice and turbo wasnt turning on. i connected it back tonight and i got a lot of power back and i can get on it a little but when i get in 5th down the highway it cuts out so i slow down to 50 and it cruises fine. exhaust got louder like it use to be an power is almost all back. could that sensor of some sort also be doin any of these symptoms
