I've lost some power recently and I'm totally stumped now.
I thought it may be the ficm but SG2 shows 47-48 volts KOEO, and running/driving. I replaced both batteries last weekend just in case. Recent replacement of oil and oil/fuel filters. Cleaned my air filter 3 months ago. Just pulled the egr and it looked good. VGT duty cycle looks good also. EOT ECT are within 13 degrees of each other.
A few months ago I replaced the ICP/stand pipes and stc fitting from a non start condition. Fixed the problem perfectly.
I was getting a #8 injector low code a week ago and on another day I got a #7 code also. The codes have not come back though. I know it could be the injectors but they all seems to run fine after I get to normal operating temp.
What else could it be and what else could I check with my SG2?
When did you check the FICM voltage? Keep in mind voltage being good doesn't always equal good ficm.
Why do you seem to be wanting to overlook the cylinder contribution codes?
Why? Because I don't feel like spending 500$ to replace two injectors if that isn't the problem. Diesel injectors stick all the time when cold but run fine when warm. I forgot to mention that I'm getting a little degas puking. I drove about 170 miles today and it was just enough puking to make a 1/4" ring under the cap. May just be a bad cap but I don't know yet.
Vgt is 85 at idle the goes down as the boost goes up, I wasn't watching it much past 50 because of the speed I was going.
I swear that it sounds like my turbo isn't whistling as loud as it used to also. It used to be annoying, now I have to try and listen for it. I'm beginning to think these problems may be compounding. Turbo getting worn, injector starting to go, and something with the degas.
Couldn't leaking head gaskets cause cylinder contribution codes?
Is your air flter an aftermarket filter? I assume so because you mentioned cleaning it. I ask because of the turbo issues and the poor condition of the impellors that you found last year before replacing your turbo with a used unit.
