Hey guys I was wondering if there were any options out there off some of the more recent trucks for front leaf swaps. I ask since I did a SAS on my 250 a while back and finally have a little bit of time to pull the old 250 springs out of there and put something softer in. I had an add a leaf as well and it rides like a brick up front. I know the 250 springs were designed to be much stiffer for the TTB.
Are there any stock spring swaps out of newer trucks that would gain a bit of lift? I ask since I have a combination of about 300 lbs due to a bumper and a winch on there right now.
I guess if it comes to it I could find a set of 350 front leafs and use the add a leaf instead but I was seeing if there was an alternative to paying 450 for a set of aftermarket leafs.
ANYONE have a set of stock 350 front leafs they want to ship if they are in good shape? might try searching around at the local junk yards as well. Wondering if the newer 2wd leaf sprung heavy dutys would gain a bit of lift without being super stiff.
Just not sure on spring rates and eye to eye length....
Hunh I never knew there were different leaf thicknesses on the front leafs.... I guess I can go measure mine on my 350. I have seen a lot of guys selling 250 TTB springs claiming they were 350 springs. I want a 350 spring with some arch still left in it.
It will save alot but might get u buying things u didn't know u needed
Got yah... Yeah I have that problem as well. Got in trouble with the misses by going abit to far too fast on the vehicle this year, 2 motors and another truck
I get to hear from her time to time about the shiny 547 ci paper weight I have sitting on the stand in the garage.... who knows if that will ever get finished
