Again we don't mind the occasional good morning, but it got so out of hand last year that it was almost impossible to follow the conversation in the thread.
What happened to the beautiful weather of last week? It was getting uncomfortable this afternoon. You know, you can pull doubles in Arkansas. That's our plan...thus why I had to make sure the 5th wheel had a steel frame the full length of the trailer. Got a trailer for other toys that tips the scales at 3500#...so I'll still be under the GCWR for the truck & trailer(s)....though the 3.73's in the pumpkin might be a little tall when it comes time to hit the road. May have to buy a second 6.0L in a Tow Boss F350
Doubles ehh, hmm... I dunno I'm looking for a bigger camper in the 25' range, plus the boat which is 21'. Thats a lot of trailer back there.
Right now it's not even an issue, I keep the boat in storage just a few miles from the lake, wish I could afford a marina slip, but those are around $1500 a year.
Gentlemen...in about 12 hours the Princess and I are dragging the trailer to the other side of the county for a weekend away from the house. Went with the wife last night to buy all the "needed supplies" for this little camping adventure. Holy smokes can that woman spend the money. Oh well, it's only money...you can't take it with you when your gone! Anyone talked to Jeff? Did those Sqaws on the Yukon ****** him up?

It's a thought. I wouldn't want to pull doubles with both of the trailers as bumper pulls. The camper as a 5th wheel is the best method...much more stable when your screaming down the super-slab with that huge engine just rolling smoke. Oh wait, I'm thinking of my truck that does that when it's lost another injector.....my bad. We all know the 7.3L is a perfect engine and never has problems...let alone smoke.

Where is that at? Eden Isle or something? Though since I've never owned a boat (lower on the toy wish list) I've never looked into storage for one. Maybe one day we'll have a "party barge" for fun on the water. But the kids will most likely grown & gone before that happens.
There is one thing to consider when purchasing a party barge, and that is getting it on and off of the trailer. If just you and the fam go out, that means that either a) your wife will have to pilot this huge craft, of b) your wife will have to back the trailer in the water
With a 3 and 6 yr. old onboard, it's touchy... especially when the ramp is busy
My wife has gotten quite good at trailering the pontoon, but I leave the trailer shallow. That way she need only stab it on there and I drag it the rest of the way with the winch.
Note to self, when making reservations at a Corp of Engineers park...make sure the spot your interested, not only has electric but water as well. Found out Friday evening after getting the trailer parked, electric hooked-up, a/c going and everything else. When I pull the water hose looking for the spigot, that's when I discover the spot where we were set-up didn't have water. Apparently in all of their wisdom...when the CoE ran out of money when they were building the park 20-30 years ago they decided to cut back the water lines on the last 12 spots. Since then, they apparently don't think it's necessary to have water at the spots with 50 amp service right next to one of the playgrounds. Oh well, got lucky when someone else didn't show up...so the wife didn't have to walk to the shower house everyday.

Been camping most of the weekend. I refuse to take the laptop when I'm camping. And even though I have the iPhone, do think the family would take it very well if I was on FTE instead of eating burgers, dogs and smores.

I get to work nights all this week...I'm so lucky.

Set myself up on that one, crap. I don't need a signed permission slip to get on FTE. Just things run smoother if the boss is happy. Besides, I was watching the kids fish...which is entertaining at the least.

Not too sure I'd eat goat...I've heard Veal is pretty good though.
Could get a goat or sheep. That what my plans are. Start out with a breeding pair & let them mow the yard. Once I have to many, I fill the freezer.
Thought about that, but I'd have to build 2500 feet of fence that would keep goats in and coyotes out. Plus a driveway gate. Not terribly interested in parting with that $$
