Mat, I remember the last "handcuffing" class I had. We used zip ties instead of handcuffs. Before that class, I did not realize how much easier handcuffs were. The instructor made me the guinea pig to be restrained by everyone. He also made the mistake of telling me to resist
Did not go quite the way he planned
I have not had the pepper spray class but, Our platoon Sergeant did think it was rather funny to toss a CS canister in the center of the group though.I have seen some pretty big guys go down with pepper spray, so I can only imagine how bad it is.
Anyway, tonight was a bust for me. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
Happy Cinco De Mayo...is it too early to pop my first beer???
Have a great one...I've got a few tasks to get done around here today...namely install new bathroom granite countertops and new faucets...shouldn't be too bad...well other than the weight!!!
Joe.
Jeff - Ya, pepper spray is some nasty stuff. The thing is, you can't get "used" to it like you can CS gas. CS you can build up a tolerance for, believe it or not. (why you would want to be around it enough to do so, I have no idea! LOL) But pepper spray is designed so that that doesn't happen. So, the effect that happens to you the first time you get sprayed with it, will happen to you the 100th time you get sprayed with it. Cool, huh? LOL
The bad part is, I have big shoulders and chest, so they have to use double cuffs on me because I'm not that flexible to put my arms fully around the back to be cuffed. Sooooo, it was real fun yesterday to have to try and stretch back to have them double cuff me all day.
But, as long as it helps my partner train properly, then so be it, I can take a little pain. I hope everyone enjoys their Cinco de Mayo today. I'm shooting the AMA Supercross Finals today/tonight. Going to be a long day. We are also having hella high winds here in Vegas today too. Hope those don't transfer down into Sam Boyd Stadium with those guys/girls doing their triple jumps today/tonight!

Glad you had a good time at your new job Donna!!!...don't forget to pick a night that you run your truck when there is a TAIL wind!...LOL
