I found an unmolested harness for my inline 6, 1977 Highboy... From a 1979 V8...
My question is in the GOOD wiring diagram, not the crappy Haynes one.
It shows the BLACK/GREEN wire and BLACK/YELLOW WIRE are reversed coming off the distributor, in the 6 VS the 8
Has anyone done this swap, am I correct in assuming I cross them to work in my 6?
If so, what is the best type of connection I can use to cross the wires, would a couple butt connectors provide a sufficent connection or is there a better method, the plugs dont look like I can simply change them at the source...
I don't know for absolute certain but I don't think the two coming off the dist will make a difference in the ability of the pickup to work correctly....
