Wiring Question
Got a 71 Lincoln 460 Distributor ??......Wiring up my 55 Ford Truck and I got a new Dist from Autozone.......Can anybody tell me how to wire it up.....I have: Red/Black wire, Black Wire, Purple/Black wire.....On my wiring Diagram from EZ Wiring it has 3 wires from Dist going to Orange, Purple and Black on Electronic Ignition Mod.....Called EZ Wiring today and they werent sure on the Dist either....Thanks for the help

Open up the distributor and see where the wires go, that should tell you which wire matches up with which wire in your wiring kit. Ford is not consistant with their wire color coding. EZ and most of the others use GMs color coding because they were consistant.
