Do most of you just replace the outer 2 injector o-rings when they blow out, or replace the whole injector?
I'm at 190,000 miles and don't drive it much. Truck always ran fine, but started losing oil and then wouldn't start one day. Put a frx on it and rebuilt the fuel bowl. Truck started and blew tons of blue smoke out. Checked the fuel bowl to see if it was still leaking air and ohhh man was the fuel black. My mechanic has pulled the injectors and found 3 o-rings on the AD injectors gone. Visual inspection of the injector tips looks good. Just seems like a lot of $ to spend on injectors if all it needs is 2 outer o-rings, or am I getting the miles where it should be done anyway? Can just the o-rings even be purchased?
