new install, already looking to upgrade.

Hey folks, just installed some new 08' mirrors today. Problem is I want to replace the bulbs with LEDs, does anyone have the bulb number? When I searched all I found was how to remove the lens, no bulb number. Thanks in advance!

I know, you guys knew I could find it. It's a 2825 bulb, which can also be replaced with a 194 just incase anyone wanted to know. So start converting to LEDs, your batteries will thank you.

Answer the question man... The suspense is killing me. How did you get to the bulbs in the mirrors? BTW I like the new avatar, running board lights look killer.

Not yet, but I'm gonna replace them. All you have to do is turn the mirror all the way to the inside, then look for the tab to the light cover and push it in gently (she said). The light housing should pop right out, atleast thats what I read. Easy Peasy. But if it breaks it's not my fault...

I read that it was all one piece once you get it off. (that's what she said). Like a light capsul that can't be taken apart. Which doesn't make sense to me because what if a bulb burns out. Anyway, I think I will wait for you to do it first. On another note, I got the relay and bulbs ready for the tail lights and blinker transformation. Thanks for the nudge over the edge on that one.

I don't think my batteries will give a damn what clearance lamps I use.

Well if you have as many bulbs (about 18) in your truck as we do (Excursion) and leave your doors open for an extended period or get in and out often leaving the doors open the battery (in a gas truck, which he has) will thank you.
