My back up alarm hasn't been working all the time. I checked for the clicking sound when it wasn't working & could hear the clicking. The light is on all the time when its acting up. IS there a control box somewhere?
No, I don't have that problem. Mine goes off when nothing is behind it or when I have a trailer connected. It used to cut itself off when I had a trailer harness plugged in. Now it just beeps. (As if I didn't know I have a travel trailer behind me ). If you find out something, post it up. Thanks.
Hook up a scanner to your truck, like auto enginuity or something. If you have a sensor on the bumper go bad it will show up as a soft code (doesn't make the check engine light come on).
Mine works intermittantly. It tends to work more often in damp weather. The dealership ran codes on it and told me there's a control module behind the passenger side kick panel. I bought extra spot mirrors as a remedy to a $200-300 module.
