No fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Hard wired inertia switch. Grounded the FP lead and still now fuel pump noise. Would appear I'm pulling tanks or am I forgetting to test something? Thanks for the help.
Why is the inertia switch hard wired? You do realize that there's a reason Ford installed an inertia switch right?
yes incase I get into a crash it will stop the fuel flow but, to eliminate that problem wire the two leads together bypassing the inertia switch is much cheaper then going to the parts store and buying one just to see that's not the problem. What on earth did we do when cars were built with out crap like that?
If I run a jumper between the FP diagnostic lead and a ground sometimes the pump comes on and some times it doesn't. This morning go out turn the key on and can hear the pump do it's think for a sec then start the truck and poof it runs. Just wondering if any one else out there has run into an intermitent issue like this. Also there are four relays under the hood I've switched those around to make sure it's not a relay issue. Just seems odd. Could also be a faulty ground back at the tanks i suppose trying not to pull those tanks unless I just have to.
Checked the fuse? Relay? Checked for power at the pump?
Have I got to drop the tank to check for power at the tank? I know may sound like a stupid question but, the only stupid question is the one not asked (it's a Marine Corps thing)
