I have a 2008 fx4 f150 and am looking for a suggestion for a spot to put a toggle or rocker switch.. I am hoping for a convenient place for a switch for 2 utility lites i am putting under the back of the truck..
That looks factory McDavies. You know the regular seat heater switches are very close to that area. They are on that skinny bar right above where you put your switches.
that is cool as heck, how easy is this to pop out and add switches?
They pop right out very easily. The back side of mine had 2 brackets built in just for switches. I had to cut it a little on the back side so the toggle I bought would fit, and I had to drill a hole for it . But now it looks great

Yeah the guys that do my stereo/tint/heaters do great work. They work on stuff like Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo all day long. They take pride in what they do and I really appreciate that aspect of their work. I wanted the switches to look like they belonged on the truck, and they made that happen.
Here's another pic of the finished product from a little futher out. It's a really clean install.
