F350 leaking donuts
A couple of clarifications on my earlier post.
-EBPV - if you are towing big trailers down grades, it could be worth KEEPING the EBPV and having a 'DECEL' tune which engages the EBPV as an exhaust brake;
-QLD used to have F250 7.3 ambulances - there will be a mechanic around that knows the 7.3;
-the turbo and up-pipes are quite easy to work on. I'd never touched a diesel before my F250, I'd just done some DIY stuff on small cars and motorbikes;
-there is tons of information on this forum. It is a great resource to research what to do and how to do it - there are also links to other sites like Guzzle and RiffRaff to mention a few that have great step by step instructions;
-if the proverbial does hit the fan, so long as you can afford to wait, it is possible to ship even the heaviest parts over from the US and have them landed here for a lot less than the Aussie Stealerships charge!
All the best and hope to catch you on the Aussie Chapter!
I will difinately check out the Aussie chapter. I thought it might have been more benificial to just on the states one due to my f 350 being a superduty import. I am not quiet up to speed on all the differences, but the more you look, the more you find. For trucks that look the same, nothing in Australia seems to fit them, especially interior. Even the spare wheel jack handles are different. I was considering keeping the EBPV just in case I ever tow heavy trailers. You never know whats going to happen. I have got my brothers help on it, so it should go ok, I hope. I will also install the new Banks wicked wheel and big actuator while I am there. Just a matter of ordering the parts from Clay now.
