Welcome to FTE Jason!

I'm going to move your thread the the Super Duty Forum. This is the Announcement and Introduction Forum. Since we don't allow technical Q&A in this forum, I doubt you will get a good answer, but I'm sure the guys in the Super Duty Forum will have more than enough ideas to help you get that 7.3 up and running like a champ!

Good luck and again - Welcome to FTE!

I would probably guess that it is a turbo issue, but there are many people that know more about the 7.3L than I do.

You might also consider asking this question in the 7.3L diesel forum.

How do you mean it falls on its face. Does it wind up and not go anywhere. Does it feel as if the brakes were applied? How about as if the tranny went into neutral or loses a gear? Smoke, guages anything can help us troublshoot this for you.

Ran into this on a bud's truck a couple years back, had a real 'flat' spot from around 2200rpm and up. Was clogged pickup in the fuel tank. Figured it out by blowing low-pressure compressed air back thru fuel line behind the fuel pump. Problem went away for a while so he ended up pulling the tank and modifying the pickup. I did mine at the same time so I wouldn't have the same problem, no regrets!
