I already have a problem with my new king ranch F250...someone has recently gotten carsick on the backseat. This is horrible for me since the truck is less than a week old!!!! Does anyone have suggestions for how to clean the leather? It looks like a water stain. The leather seems very soft and scratches easily. I don't want to ruin it further.
Tanners preserve makes a cleaner that is sort of a clear/brown color. I always use that and then use their preserve to enrich the leather. Meguires cleaner is alright but the Tanners stuff works better.
i like lexol cleaner followed up with lexol conditioner. good luck. tuff luck about the car sick moment. you might call around to a few auto detailing shops or do a search of leather conditioner sites and email them for suggestions.
I have used Tanners and Girot's Garage leather cleaners and like them.
Girot's has a leather restorer that works OK for really abused, sun worn leather. Acts kind of like a clear coating over the leather. Looks funny compared to fresh leather but definitely better than the sun beaten look. I do not recommend the restorer for new but dirty leather.
Good Luck, barf is nasty stuff. I once had a white car permanently stained pink.
Try Armor-All Leather Cleaner wipes, I used them on my leather , and they work greater , and the product is quick drying as well, so you can do it anytime.
Because of the nature of King Ranch leather, you will never get it to look like new. This leather is designed to "age." It will get darker with time as it absorbs skin oils and such, and the scratches and scuffs become part of the aged look. There's nothing you can do to prevent it; I'll assume my fellow salesperson never pointed this out when you bought the truck.
