Weird sound on f350 7.3

Hey guys might have seen my other threads I've posted today. I just installed a new engine in my truck today and amongst a couple of things I've posted there is a weird sound coming at around 2200 rpm when I give it 7/8 throttle it almost sounds like its in the cab. It sounds like a windsheild wiper on a dry windsheild. I should also note it almost feels like the turbo is acting up and the trucks feels very gutless

Man, not too sure. Good luck and hopefully someone will come along and give you the answer you're looking for. Meanwhile I would check for codes and make sure everything is tight.

No gauges and no AE, just sounds and feelings. The lack of specific info will probably spark a memory with somebody who experience this, but the rest of us will be feeling around in the dark.

2200, or 2200 and above?

I do have a boost gauge, trans temp gauge and a pyrometer. And also the previous owner had a diablo tune programmed on it. Though I think I lost the tune as its not blowing much black anymore

What do the EGT and boost gauges say when the problem occurs?

That sounds like a monster exhaust leak. Soot around the pre-turbo exhaust?

No all around the intake elbow right after the turbo. And it seems to be not the rpm but when it gets to 8 psi of boost
