I know this is probably what you meant... 0 Ohms would be a dead short. An open circuit gives infinite resistance which is displayed as a '1' on most meters.
I know you're probably right but I'm again too lazy to go look & verify, so thank you for the correction.
I can never remember what the meter reads when I turn it on, nor which side is 0 or 1 on the sweep meter.
