Hello, I have a 1986 F150 4x4 with a 302 EFI and we are not getting fuel to the electric fuel pump. That fuel pump and the fuel filter have both been recently replaced. Where should we start checking from there? TIA
Don't these things have low-pressure in-tank pumps along with a high-pressure pump someplace close to the engine? When you turn the key on, can you hear a fuel pump run for a second or two? Try that test on each tank (using the selector switch on the dash).
Yeah they do. We have done that. I can hear the high pressure fuel pump run when I turn on the key, but we cant hear the low pressure ones. Did that with both tanks. We also un hooked the fuel line on the pre side and post side of the high pressure fuel pump. When I turned on the key no fuel came out of the line on both tanks.
