Question Random Bad Oil leak

This is throwing me for a loop. 84 6.9 IDI...I know she has some miles on her. over 280k. Since Ive had it, I would get A drip of oil here and there...I just did injectors, IP, t-stat, and re-sealed the gear cover(was leaky) since then Ive noticed that it's oil consumption has gone down surprisingly. Im pretty sure it could use a new CDR valve. BUT...here and there, I cant figure out why its so random. but It will leak alot of oil in a short period of time. then stop, then it wont leak anything onto the ground at all. I think the valve cover gaskets are partly to blame...the tops of my manifolds are soaked.
-My Ypipe on both sides have oil coming down them,
-The intake gaskets look iffy.
-The back of the heads are soaked..so its hard to tell if I have a slight head gasket leak.
-No oil/coolant mixing...No coolant leaking/loss
-No coolant smoke/smell in exhuast
-Blue smoke here and there, usually shows when taking off after idling for a bit while engine is warm
--The leak ends up on the ground about right under the starter. Again, both sides of the ypipe have oil on them, the bellhousing and starter. If anyone has ideas or seen similar. Feel free to chime in, thanks

Take a look at the oil pressure sender. It is on the rear, passenger side of the engine. Any fluids that get onto the top of the engine will drain down by the starter. Valve cover gaskets could be the culpert for the oil on the y pipes.

Look for the highest point the oil is present, that's usually the source of the leak.

Thanks guys, But upon further inspection. I found that the head gasket is leaking from the rear of the block/head. It leaks bad when driven hard. but if I am easy on her. Not a drop. So It looks like Ill be rebuilding a set of heads and replacing upper end gaskets.
