Need Air Cleaner Advice

I have a Motorcraft D0PZ-9510-M carburetor on my I6 300. It needs the threaded stem for the cleaner assembly. What are people using for air cleaner assemblies for these? Looking for paper filter assembly rather than an oil bath.

D0PZ's introduced in 1970, were the FoMoCo I-6 service part replacement Holley carbs for 1965/69 FoMoCo vehicles that originally came with either an Auto-Lite or Holley 1V.

Since you have the Motorcraft version, it was installed sometime after 1972, because Motorcraft didn't exist until 1973.

Excepting Passenger Cars, oil baths were standard equipment until 1967, then were optional thru 1979. Dry type (paper filter) air cleaners became standard equipment in 1967.

1965/71 Galaxie/LTD's standard equipment engine was the 240 I-6. All came with dry type air cleaners. Finding one a these will be a challenge, especially in the east.

D0PZ-M = 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Text Section 95, Carb Parts List # 95.34.
