feedback on transfer case

I am getting ready to start hauling my 24 ft camping trailer this summer and have started replacing the fluids this morning. I drained the transfer case and only got about a pint of burnt fluid out of it. Just looking on feedback on weather I should just keep an eye on it or should I rebuild? Kind of scared because I am planning on towing my 24' rv to Montana this summer and don't fill like getting stranded...... again!!!

94, turbo, 5 speed, 4.10, extended cab

Unless it is doing something that indicates that it is needing a rebuild,(noisey, jumping out of gear ect.) I would refill it and drive it. Keep an eye on it to see whre the fluid went, it may need an output shaft seal.
