Power Steering Pump Pulley
Well the issue came up in my 3G swap thread and didn't really seem like it belonged there. So my power steering pulley has some play in it. Its strait forward and back. I think this is what is causing my belt squeal. Here is the play:
Can I tighten something to fix it or is the pump on its way out? Should I replace it? Saginaw swap maybe?

The pulley is pressed onto the end of the pump shaft. So, IMO, all of that play is coming from inside your P/S pump.

Yeah thats what I was thinking... Might be time for a saginaw swap... Other than the pump, bracket and possibly a new belt, what else is needed?

Does the power steering pump itself move back and forth if you are holding onto the reservoir? Or just the pulley?

Yeah, that looks to me like the bearing in the pump.

As far as I know you'll only need the pump and pulley, bracket and new pressure hose. It should run the same belt.

I will check tomorrow if the reservoir moves too but I think its only the pulley moving.

Pretty sure it's the '79 F250 hose you need. Don't quote me on that though.
