power steering pump swap

i have a 88 F 150 powersteering leeks, i have another pump but new from a 79 F 150 all the brackets are the same and the hose fittings, can i just change the pulleys from one to the other , i need the serpintine pulley thanks for any replys

as long as it mates up you should be fine. I would not be at all surprised if they used the same pump for all those years.

took the power steering pump off of a fairmont wagon 75 or so had to change the pulleys from a v belt to serpintine, works fine the only problem i had was the power steering pulley puller i bought from kragen/checker/schucks it was made by powerbuilt broke one ear off of the tool took it back got another same thing again broke and they both broke on the side were the threds are for the allen head screws ,went to a shop they changed it for $5.00
