FoMoCo oil plug/valve?

I have searched the forum but can't find info on this part. I've replaced my stock oil pan plug with one and need another for a different application. I can't remember where I got it or find that info in my records. (Senior moment??)

Is this a dealer or aftermarket item? If dealer, does anyone have the stock number? Heck, I don't even know if I'm calling it by its correct name.

Any help?

Thanks!

You were close on the name - Fumoto. Riffraff Diesel used to carry it, but not any more... I checked. With the right spelling, a search will find it quick.

*EDIT* I was mistaken above - keep reading.

I have bought some of my "non Powerstroke" Fumoto valves here: Fumoto Valve | Qwik Valve™ I have also found a few good deals on Ebay or Amazon. You can use the link to look up the part number for your app, then search for it. I have them on all my vehicles.

Thanks guys!

I'll order when I find out what size hole the machine shop needs to make to re-tap the stripped out threads on the oil pan.

Oops... Sorry Clay. I saw the new look and name on the search results, then passed right over it. I saw nothing that suggested it was a Fumoto. Does that one lock like the F111?

I applaud Clay for being on top of such things. To the OP... there's your guy. You're about to get "yellow taped" (it's a verb now)... you'll never be the same.

These are a great idea, but a couple of improvements would make them greater--a magnet, so that once in a while you could remove the fumoto and clean off any metallic particles. And a rubber cap to keep out the road grit. Turning that ball valve with road grit attached to the film of oil does push some of the grit into the plastic seat of the valve. I suppose a shot of wd40 or whatever would clean out the valve before rotating. I am not criticizing the product, just a wish list. Larry
