Hello. Could really use some help with this one. I have a 1993 F150 5.0 Super cab. About 2 to 3 months ago, it started to hesitate and even stall. The dash lights, tail lights, and head lights would dim at the same time it hesitated. My radio would also turn off and on when this happened. This would happen intermittently. It would do it when it was cold, hot, running a short time, running a long time. It’s gotten progressively worse. It still happens intermittently but now it bucks, stalls, hesitates, sputters, sometimes accelerates while braking, has no power when I give it gas, gauge for battery jumps erratic, and I can hear the gears slamming when this is happening and I’m stopped. I’ve replaced the throttle position sensor, EVP sensor, EGR valve, Before Cat Oxygen Sensor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, tested battery, cleaned the throttle body and upper intake manifold. I was able to get fault codes when this all started but have not been able to get codes again because the “Check engine” light turns off before I get a chance. My gas mileage is also very poor. The codes I got were: While Off 122 – Throttle Positioning Sensor below minimum voltage 128 – Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Vacuum hose disconnected or damaged 172 – HEGO (HO2S) sensor fault/lean 619 – Transmission problem (3-4 shift error) 628 – Excessive converter clutch slippage
While On 536 – Brake on/off (BOO) circuit not active during KOER 632 – Overdrive transmission cancel switch/no action during self engine r un test
<O></O> Wide Open Throttle 172 - HEGO (HO2S) sensor fault/lean 536 – Brake on/off (BOO) circuit not active during KOER 632 – Overdrive transmission cancel switch/no action during self engine r un test
<O></O> Any help would be appreciated. Can’t drive my truck and can’t afford to take it to the shop.

You've lost the ground connection from the motor to the battery. The 95 I'm workin on has the same problem. I ran a new ground cable from the battery to the top bolt of the alternator. Works fine now.
