MAP to MAF conversion?

I've got an F150 from '95 with a 351W and an E4OD, and I would like to convert my map into maf. How easily can that be done, and what all would I have to get to do such a thing? Like I was hearing that since I've got an E4OD tranny I've got to get an new computer because the stock one runs the trans also and adding maf will screw it up. Is that true? Also what kind of benefits would I be getting from the maf?

Thanks, Highriser4.

With an all stock motor there is little benefit to MAF over MAP so in your case dont bother unless you have plans to double the engines stock output.

Heads alone on a stock motor no you won't need MAF. To get MAF on that vehicle you need a MAF V8 computer for a truck with an E4OD, you need the MAF meter of course, and you will also have to add wires for sequectial injection and the MAF meter. These wires you could pull from a donor truck but this isn't a simple plug and play you have to build a custom overlay harness from the donor and add these wires to the EEC connector. Finding a 5.8 MAF computer will probably be the hardest part too since this motor wasnt as common as the 5.0.
