The price isn't cheap, I agree. When you start pricing all of the parts, rod end bushings, swaged aluminum tubes, shaft collars, shocks and all the parts, you will be surprised at what it costs to make. The laser cutter has to supply the metal, cut and bend it, then I have to finish welding up the brackets, paint them and more.
I know that this won't be for everybody.

I like it and the price sounds good to me, however the more economical the better. I will keep an eye out for the finished/tested product and i am about 97% sure i will buy it for my truck.

If I was going to show my truck I would want something like that. I think it is really a cool look. The price sounds fair to me. Your time and effort count for something. If every body was making these kits you might need to lower your price but they are not. It cost a lot of money to make something like this in small numbers. I am sure if you could get China to make them for you with junk parts you could sell them for $19.99.

I hope you do well. You probably wont make a lot of money with these trucks. I am sure you will make a few guys really happy that you took the time to make something different and they will be glad to pay you for your work.

I think he may sell more than folks think. I am watching the number of guys doing the CV IFS with the MN12 IRS swap in the last year. People like that want something different & this fits right in there. I may end up buying the kit just not high on my list right now. As I near time for paint it may get budgeted in. I like it.

wow, your 63 looks awesome. I would love to have this on my 72 CS. But just like everyone else, the price is the only thing stopping me. I bet you could sell this product to all sorts of auto parts websites. Keep up the good work

Basically it's for aesthetic purposes, but on the 61-66 the hoods are notorious for sticking up at the cowl once the hinges wear out a bit. This will eliminate the stock hinges

I have been thinking of trying something like this for awhile, glad to see you're doing it, will save me a lot of time and aggrivation. Count me in when you get into production. You should post of the dent side forum and build one for them too, I might be in for one of those also.
David.

If I can figure out how to make the video and then figure out how to post it, I will get that done before to long. I need to make a video anyway for my 63.
The main reason that I did this for my 63 was the bad hood hinges. I had quite a few people interested in other models is why I decided to do the 67-72. If these do fair, I will probably do one for the 73-79.

I think it looks good for the right truck, Your price is not out of line either .Your r & d and effort has to be worth something. Thats something people dont consider.

I for 1 do take all that into consideration BUT R&D is just part of it. I am looking at what I have when finished when balanced against cost to have it. Don't get me wrong it should be worth something but I think most people will see $600 & making the hood open forward. Not sure if I am explaining it well enough. I will probably be 1 who purchases it even at $600 just think for sales to the masses it would need a lower price.

Unfortunately, once you started talking price, a "for sale" thread is exactly what it has become.
