Tilt forward hood kits-Any intersest???

I am ready to start building the kits like I have on my truck. I need to know if there is any interest in this type of hood kit. I don't want to start building until I have at least 5 people that want one. If so, I will build at least 10 kits.
Here are pics of some of the parts.

Here is the hood partially open.

Here is the hood fully open.

These parts were made as a single kit by a plasma cutter and a grinder to get it done. I have it set up now to be made by a waterjet cutter to keep them all uniform and jigs made for the back rollers to go in.

This draws a lot of attention at the car shows because it is different. This will also eliminate the hood hinge problem of the back of the hood sticking up.
It is fully adjustable to make the gap at the back of the hood uniform and the sides can be adjusted up, down or left to right to make it align properly.
Let me know what you think.

I think it looks great! If I had a truck project going on now I would want one, depending on cost of the kit.

Tilt Deal

Suggest you patent this idea before someone steals it from you. Then sell the rights to one of the aftermarket companies. You could retain the right to make and sell your own at the same time. Looks really nice by the way!

Sounds good, but it doesn't work that way. Once you show it in public (the web) it is no longer patentable. Don't ask me how I know........

By the way, nice craftsmanship!

I can vouch for the quality of this kit. The pics don't do it justice. I met Kevin at a local car show and I looked it over with a fine toothed comb. Craftmanship appears to be top notch.

I will try and get an ad posted in the "For Sale" section on Monday morning with the pricing and options.
I don't think that it would be worth the cost of doing patents. There are so many ways to change this and get around patent rights. I don't think that I could possibly ever sell enough of these to recoup the cost of patent lawyers.

I started the waterjet cutter today doing the programming. He should have that part done in just over a week. Then the first parts will come out so I can check them to make sure I don't need any modifications
