Would anybody have any ideas where to look beyond the fuse box, as to why my instrument panel doesn't work?? I have the turn signal indicators, the high beam indicator, and that's it.
I checked the two fuses listed in the owners manual (slots 35 & 41, I believe). They checked good, but I replaced them anyway.
The alternator was replaced yesterday, and the batteries today. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but maybe it's relevant. The I/P stopped working about a week ago.
Any help would sure be appreciated...

Fuses
2.33 15 AMP,
2.35 10 AMP INTERIOR LAMP RELAY
2.41 10 AMP BATTERY SAVER RELAY
2.45 10 AMP
ALL FEED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, THE 2 PREFIX STANDS FOR FUSE BOX 2 WHICH IS THE DASH PANEL FUSE BOX. FUSE 2.45 IS A COMMON FUSE THAT BLOWS, THIS FUSE ALSO FEEDS THE OVERDRIVE CANCEL SWITCH AND CIRCUITS, IT COMMOMLY SHORTS OUT AT THE BASE OF THE SHIFTER WERE IT PIVOTS. THE SHORT NORMALLY OCCURS WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND BACK TO PARK.

Definitely agree with above, check the O/D wire in the column.
I'll definitely check that out. Never would have thought to look at the O/D switch wire. Thanks...
Definitely has something to do with the alternator circuit, I was Found On Road Dead about 1000 ft from my house, got a boost and made it to the dooryard, of course I did not tell my Chevy friends, LOL (and for me it was that O/D wire, umpteen million fuses later, I wish I could remember the fuse number, but just start pulling them until you find it, then look on here to see if it is the one? That's what I did.
Hope it works for you, good luck! And post back when you find the problem
A big thank you to all the guys who responded!! The fuse in slot 45 was popped. Stuck in a new one and got my dash back. Just in time, too. The low fuel light is on!!
I have the tow/haul switch instead of the o/d, but I'm guessing it's the same issue. When I get some time, I'll pull the shroud off of the column and take a look.
Again, thanks, guys!!

Keep the fuses handy, they will blow frequently, glad you got a lead on the problem!
Can anyone tell me what all fuses would affect the dash gauges to be inoperative? I get the idiot lights and the tach operates for about two seconds. I know there has to be a series of fuses etc. I should be checking, just need to be educated on what they are.

The truck is a 2000 f350 and the post you refer to before this must be some different year as 33,35 and 41 on this truck are relays not fuses and there is no slot 45. Any additional help would be appreciated.
