I am gonna be ordering a Valair clutch for my truck and the one I'm thinking of getting is the one up from stock rated one. It's the NMU70263-01, rated for 350 HP / 800 ft.lbs. torque. I'll not tow heavy very often nor do I have a lot of mods. This should be sufficient or would the stock rated one be ok?
I'm running the Kevlar ceramic and if I towed more I'd probably run the one your looking at. The one I have is a little grabby but great on the street.
The brass/organic is one step above the stock rated one and it's only about $100 more, so I figured it would be worth that for the little bit mor HP and torque rating for future mods.
That's the one I have. I haven't upped the power yet, but I tow a lot. It holds up well on the interstate with my heavy foot on it. It doesn't slip at all. It's grabby as heck though. It's getting better now that's it is breaking in.
They say not to race with the Kev/Ceramic because it will heat up the ceramic to quick and destroy the kevlar from the long power slips while shifting.
