L&L 460 chassis exit conversion headers pics
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
I saved my pennies and dimes and bought me a set of L&L ¾ length chassis exit headers (79750H)!! I am installing them in a 1975 highboy with a 460 conversion. What I am looking for is pictures of exhaust pipe routing with a similar set-up, mainly I’m looking for picks of the driver’s side pipe. I just finished putting in a high pinion front axle, and it really cuts down on room to run the exhaust pipe. I have got so many good pics and advice from this sight, can anybody help me out with some pics, or direct me to somebody’s gallery that has done something similar?

Yes they are 10's. They sound like this.

Keep in mind my 460 is a mild build with a 270 comp cam.

Routing driver's side exhaust
FWIW, OEM ehaust setup on my '76 F350 supercab, 460/C6 used crossover from driver's side, and then turned to rear, entered a dual inlet, round muffler, and exhausted via a single pipe from the muffler to the rear of the truck, below the rear bumper on the right. Using a cross over is about the only way to do it with the "mid-ship" fuel tank on the left side. I had to replace the cross-over pipe about 20 yrs. ago; had a replacement bent up at a local shop. One thing to remember, is to make sure the cross over is routed so that it will not prevent you from dropping the C6 pan for service without removing it. In my current setup, I use two mufflers, positioned side by side in the space below and to the rear of the passenger side seat, and exhaust each in pipes that exit just in front of the right rear tire.
