Here's some pics of the 77 F 350 I picked up a few weeks ago.Been shedded for years and came with heaps of original and new parts-can't wait to start putting her together(bought a 460 and C6 for it today)
Cheers all- thanks for your help
Nice truck. Are you sure that its an F-350? Ford didn't make a 4wd F-350 until 1979 and none of those were crewcabs.
The truck is not here in North America. It looks like he is over seas in Australia. so they could have them over there. We don't always have the same models available to us here in North America. and that is a shame we can't. i would love to have a crewcab ranger 4x4, they are availible in Mexico, but not here.
Thanks for the great comments all, I will answer all questions. My name is Wayne and I live in Bundaberg,Queensland, Australia.I have owned Effy's since 1978.All that time I have been trying to get my hands on a Crew cab-pretty hard over here as we only ever saw single cabs until early 2000.Was lucky to find this rig and had to drive 1100 miles to pick her up and 1100 miles home. Since joining FTE I have found that the cab is 1977 F350 made in Canada (2WD with a 460cid motor, C6)The Badges that came with the truck are F350 RANGER XLT.The Chassis is 1978 F250 4WD (300 cid motor) but it has a divorced transfer case?
It looks like it is not original but I love it!Mind you it,s probably the only one in Oz.
I am going to leave it left hand drive and I have bought a 460 and C6 for it.
Hope to get it finished by late Sept and do a trip with mates across the Simpson desert and up to Ayres Rock, some of the toughest 4WD tracks in Oz, approx 3,500 miles round trip. Sorry for the long winded reply but I am excited! Will have updates on the build (and trip)
Cheers to all,
you lucky lucky man; thats a beautiful looking truck. wish I could find a crew that nice to start with here in Alberta Canada guess I'll just have to put another months worth of nights in the shop to catch up to where you're starting. best of luck, I'm sure it will be an awesome truck seeing as how it has Canadian roots and all
