Question Torsion bar adjustment?

ive read tons of threads on how to raise the front 1-2", and seen plenty of pics on where the bolts are the i want to adjust, but none of the threads tell me if in order to raise the vehicle, im supposed to tighten or loosen the torsion bar bolts?? and how much of a rotation on the bolt do i want to do to go 1 inch? are we talking a half turn, full turn, multiple full turns? any info would be great... thanks

I suggest that you have an alignment shop do the adjusting as they will likely need to re-align the truck to keep it safe to drive.

once inch raise in the front, on a truck i drive 10k miles a year, is not something ill be visiting the alignment shop over... anyone know the answer? ...should be pretty simple answer for anyone who has crawled under there and turned those bolts. Just dont feel like doing trial and error method and getting under the truck 10 times... thanks
