Also I wouldn't want anything bolted to my cab mounts that coukd break the bolts and cause my cab to be loose. I have a set of each and the running boards are all that are left on my trucks.
I don't know about anywhere else, but here in North and South Carolina they usually don't salt much. But, when they do, it's a pretty high concentration.

My father usually puts those tube steps on most any 4x4 truck he gets that has a lift. To date, none have rusted off yet. Another guy I know has a dodge that has the tube style and 4x4, and they haven't come off or rusted off yet either. His have been on there a while. But, like I said, it's probably because we don't get too much salt down here compared to up north or around the Great Lakes.

For people that do have a disability or real bad arthritis or other joint problems and stuff, I would totally recommend running boards or tube steps.

Beware though, fat girls may not be able to jump, but they can dang sure take use of those steps. Bolt on with caution.

You really shouldn't talk about your girlfriend like that

Nice truck, I would also get rid of the running boards! They may be useful, but look awful to me. Especially on Chris's ugly truck.

My truck is only leveled, and she still has a hard time getting in it!

Just kidding, I don't have a girlfriend. Hard time finding one these days worth anything.

Heck, Chris's truck ain't ugly to me! With it being in exceptional mechanical condition, I would drive it until the wheels fell off! Then I'd put new wheels on it and drive it some more!

I'm not a fan of the 351M or the 400. I like the 390 (which the 351m and 400 were made to replace).

I wouldn't call it exceptional condition (well, the engine is, that's all)

Now you know one of the reasons why there are so few pictures of my truck out here.

It's not quite there yet, buddy! The front TTB needs rebuilding; it perpetually drips oil onto the ground, it thunks & clunks when backing out of the driveway onto the street, the steering wheel spokes are dang near vertical when driving it, and the right front tire is pretty much bald at this point (started from the outside edge).

The rear axle leaks fluid from the pinion seal, the transfer case input shaft bearings are shot.

And, the body is, well, not in good shape although in lots better shape than some I see out here.

I have a new cab & doors & fenders & hood in my brother's garage/back yard, still need a bed and a source of income to do anything more with it....

If you need them, then they're a whole different story. That's why they were on my truck as well; my grandfather had a horse fall on him when he was young, and his left leg and hip were never right after that.
