Just bought a '74 long bed 4x2 and the tailgate is shot. What other year tailgates will fit?

67-72 tailgates will also fit. The body lines dont quite line up but most people never notice if its just a driver or work truck. the handles on the older ones pull sideways and the newer ones pull up to open. 80s tailgates will not work.
