New to me....1978 F150 ranger explorer
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I recently purchased this 351m powered 78 ranger explorer and am in the process of restoring it. Gonna need a lot of help so I figured I would introduce myself before I started asking stupid questions.
So far I have replaced a fuse that operated my backup lights and windshield washer pump (odd combo that took me a while to figure out.) and just did plugs and wires. She runs like a charm and I'm looking forward to having a lot of fun with it and learning a ton of new things about old vehicles.

Short term plans for the truck are: new tires, new brakes all around, getting it in sound mechanical condition, and finally getting her painted and the bench seat recovered. Some day I'll start trying for better performance.
This is more or less just a toy to tinker with and waste some money on.

Something to tinker with, that has been the downfall to many a man's bank account on this forum. Can I get an Amen? It looks like you have a great truck. Mechanically sound is a huge starting place that most of us didn't get to enjoy. Feel free to ask any question that may come up. There is nearly a guarantee that it has troubled someone on this board before it found its way to you. Again, welcome and enjoy your new truck. Keep us posted on your progress and we all love pictures, even of the little accomplishments.
