please help...

just curious I'm not to sure where this came from but I was in the process of doing my glowplugs and putting everything back together and saw this plug just sitting there. Is it from the oem air box? I did take that out a while ago and put the 6637 filter in. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-m...0407-00020.jpg

sounds good thank you for the quick response. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt forgetting that I removed it during this job. thank you again. does it have any effect on how the engine runs with not reading the correct intake temp?

There is virtually no difference between the temperature inside the filter and outside the filter. Like Tim said above, zip tie it out of the way you you will be fine. Your motor is more concerned with whether the outside temp is -20* or 120* more than it cares if it is 65* or 70*.

Pretty much true, although you do want to shelter it from too much heat from the manifolds. Mine is Zip tied to the brake lines. But I wouldn't want it laying near the manifold saying it is really hot out.
