That truck looks horrible & wrong. Poor truck... what was the owner thinking ?!
I thought the same thing. Alaska has some crazy people here, lol! I saw two pink trucks and those two dents. One pink 98 f-150/girl driving and a newer dodge 1500 guy driving!!!
Saw this on the side of the road as I was heading to Florida on vacation. My wife asked me why I was stopping, I said I was dent hunting, she thought I was talking about dents on vehicles. I spent the next 10 minutes I explaining that our year trucks are called dents, others bull, bump, etc. She thinks I am crazy, with good reason...
There are enough dentsides around here that the local NAPA store carries a lot of parts for them. It's rare that I have to have anything ordered when I need something. The owner, a friend of mine and who I bought my '79 from, said there were way more older Fords still running in the area than comparable Chebbies.
I need to know what town that NAPA store is in. They might have some odds and ends I could use on my '71, plus my motor is a '76. I can't find anything from and of the parts stores in a 50 mile radius of me.
Here's my find for the week. Located in Castro Valley California and only a few blocks away from my kids school is this well cared for 77. I briefly spoke to the owner a while ago and he is pretty attentive to his classic truck (And it shows.)
I found a very clean 79 F150 that has the same color combination as mine but we where both traveling on the freeway. We exchanged smiles and 2 thumbs up. Clean and cared for Dents are rare in the Bay Area.
Found this one in Ohio, I now own the bed that was laying in this pic lol. The guy is gonna put a flatbed on a 1/2 ton (a really heavy flatbed, don't think it will end well)z
