Trans pan bolt torqu spec.
Yes it removes the moniker "seat of the pants" or "shade tree" mechanic!
Any steel bolt threaded into a cast aluminum anything needs to be careful brought to the proper torque. Well, if everyone did that though Heli-Coil etc etc wouldn't be so frequently used!
I have one less than a year old that is leaking and ford refuses to honor the new vehicle warranty and stop the leaking transmission.
I also heard this is a reusable pan gasket, is that true?
So we are talking about 16Nm. Is there a specific pattern?

I'm going to ensure they bolts are all torqued correctly, wipe free the fluid and sell the vehicle. A brand new ford is worthless with its new vehicle warranty that ford refuses to honor and since i've reported the issue to ford customer service no dealer will touch it.
In fact the service manager of don reid ford dealer that had the vehicle today in the service bay, once he found out I had spoken to ford, he personally went in removed my vehicle from the service bay parked on a side street not on dealer property and told me to leave and get off their property, and ford customer service was on the phone with me at the time it happened and heard the entire incident and simply said nothing we can do. Yet it was because I contacted them that no dealer will touch it.
So anyone who lives in central Florida or is considering to visit, I would highly advised you to avoid autonation ford and don reid ford, even mullinax ford would not even schedule a service appointment once they learned ford was involved.
So its now time to dump this POS ford and recover some of my equity.
Got my eye on a very nice pre owned Chevy Silverado. At least I know that Chevy stands behind its products and treats its customers with dignity and respect, and actually does the service when you have an appointment scheduled unlike ford which requires two visits, one to diagnose the problem while you wait and then the tech orders the parts since they don't stock parts and once they get approval to perform the warranty service (assuming ford grants approval), and then another appointment to have the part installed. This is a business model that is confirmed by ford corporate and its dealers, this is unique to ford and is something you will not find with a GM product or a Toyota product.
ford encourages and trains their dealers to intimidate customers and to threaten them.
I will never own another POS ford and will ensure I use social media to alert people to how the ford warranty program really works.
If I can save one customer from making a huge mistake buying a ford especially from one of these dealers, I will have done my good deed saving someone from a huge mistake. And for every sale these company's lose I will smile.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
While you're completely sure one disgruntled customer will affect Ford's downfall via Facebook or any other loser-laden "social media site" what you'l find is legions of people who've taken their local dealer issues up the chain until its resolved. Sure that's not an immediate solution to your dilemma but in some cases its necessary.
We all get your frustrated with Ford but trust me ANY auto/truck manufacturer has their issues and tons of dissatisfied owners who'd rather complain to anyone but those able to really help you.
I'm sure Ford will survive despite your best efforts to destroy them!
